Could someone explain to me the differences between the usage of "precisar," "faltar" and "necesar."

Precisar es como decir exactly. Tambien tiene otros usos. Faltar es cuando no tiene algo, osea le falta Isn't necesar, it's necesario and it means necessary

I think the poster meant "necesitar" - Eddy, Jul 29, 2011
Sorry! I did mean necesitar. It was midnight when I posted. In my dictionary precisar equals necesitar (to need/require). Is there a formula for deciding which option is correct? Thank you for your help - ValenciaVal, Jul 30, 2011
