Translated: El Sol no Regresa

Some days ago I lost in some bar, half of my soul in addition to a fifteen percent tip. It's not that alcohol is the best medicine, but it helps to forget when you can't see the way out.
Today I'm trying to tell you that everything is going well, even if you don't believe it. Even though at this point that final effort isn't really worth it. Today the good memories are falling down the stairs. And after several tequilas the clouds are leaving but the sun isn't returning.
Dreams of a room in a hotel on the highway, and some drops of rain that I keep in this suitcase. They roll by the mattress of my bed which is now deserted. It's the best solution for a headache.

Note: done off the top of my head from this: el sol no regresa-la quinta estacion I placed this under general discussions so that this can be either discussed or enjoyed. You might question the use of "ing" for clouds leaving, sun returning but I like it better than "clouds leave, sun doesn't return" but whichever way is fine. You might wonder what she means with the deserted bed, being the solution, it's deserted because she is at the bar, and that is the best solution. Gracias.

hi I speak spanish, and if I had to translate "las nubes se van, pero el sol no regresa", I would have preffered sth, like "the clouds leave, but the sun doesn't come back (or: return)"...
but I'm not english native speaker, so if "the clouds are leaving but the sun isn't returning" sound more natural to you, then I think it is good =)
Hi Jeezzle: Thanks for this, I really enjoy this sort of reading in both languages .Even though I see Just a few things I might change for my own benefit, I love the "color" that is kept in the work, to me that is the most important and enjoyable part of reading this.
