Why has the " Latest activity" been condensed ?

Question

Sorry if I have missed the answer to this question , there is probably a very

good and reasonable explanation , may I be enlightened please.

So I talked with Martha this evening about improvements to the site I have forwarded several ideas. (on skype)

So, I suddenly remembered your question and asked if this reduction was made to enable more ads.

Well, not the case

It was condensed because it was one of the reasons that was slowing down this site

You can of course always click on more below that list and get all the latest activity in one.

We are preparing a help section, this can be a good place to put it. Not sure though, I will have a conference with one of the founders tonight,

It is my belief that tabs are too hidden if they are under the more tab or at the bottom of the screen. I suggested something in this line. However, it may have nothing to do with this, maybe it is only making room to add more ads?

So now the recent activity list is way too short to be useful, and you would always click "More>>" - so maybe it should just be a link and no list. That would make room for still more ads.

I prefer ads on the right, since they don't disturb the page flow.

I do not like the one that sometimes appears on the top, which grows while I have already scrolled down...so suddenly my page is self-scrolling...and I'm all like...huh?...oh, that ad on top. - webdunce, Jul 28, 2011

It's not that I mind having an add on top, really, just when their site code rolls the dice *and dice fall on "monster top ad", they need to reserve the proper space for it...at least the height. It's very odd having the page change height some moments.. - webdunce, Jul 28, 2011
