I held my own skype chat
Thanks to all people I have spoken to on Skype recently but mainly Heidita as she gave me some technical advice yesterday ![]()
The Skype session I set up for my fellow students worked
Only 3 of us turned up at the allotted time and my mike was set so quiet neither of the others could hear me but we managed to introduce ourselves and talk a little about where we live..
I am sure our accents were appalling and our grammar was pretty dreadful but we spoke, it is a start.
We are going to meet again next week and this time I will know how to sort my mike out and the other two know how to get the IM screen back when it disappears.

You spelled "Heidita" wrong in the title
So Goyo fixed it. - SonrisaDelSo
Whoa!!!!!!................let's not let that slip by unnoticed.
I'm fairly positive that misspelling the Queen's name calls for capital punishment in the forum rules. That's right up there with the commandment concerning His name.
While I check, decide on your preference:

I don't know which OS or version that you are using, but you might want to find a microphone configuration setting (Sounds) and try boosting the gain on the microphone if others are having a hard time hearing you.

Thanks qfreed, I think I will go for the guillotine, I think it is quick and relatively painless.
I did manage to sort the mic out, there was a message at the top of the page telling me it was too quiet I clicked it and got to a page to adjust it. The message didn't appear at first, or I just didn't see it maybe. Never mind it is OK now.
MLucie I would love to chat to you but the skype chat I organised was for students on my Open University course, only beginners level, and using the tutorial preparation sheets as a guide. I reckon you would be pretty bored.
If you let Heidita have your skype ID, send her a PM, she can add you to the Saturday night Skype Chats on here and at your level.
Màndeme un mensaje la próxima vez. Me encantaría participar!
