I attempt to explain my deafness.

Question

Just to prove it can be done ,being deaf is no barrier in my attempt at taking on learning Spanish. It stands to reason ,that all of my life ,i,ve finally come to terms at mastering the written word in English,so on to pastures new, As i have mellowed into my 60,s,I take comfort in knowing that ,I ,have not been alone ,in keeping the word disability at bay, This has been proved ,by my admiration in the shape of a famous woman called Evylyn Glennie, Just as I had lost my hearing at 5 years old ,Evylyn lost her,s at 12 years old. Surprisingly ,I found that she was born and lived only 20 miles ,where i was brought up in the North East of Scotland. Like me she is profoundly deaf,but ,she went on to become a Dame in the world of percussion music, Her forte is playing the xylophone, she proffesses to being in touch with the music world through feeling and sensing vibrations throughout her body. Personally,i think i could say that ,i get through life in sensing the vibrations of body language ,coupled with acute eyesight ,plus conditioning over the years ,has stood me in good stead. So i say bring it on .How would you say that in Spanish? Jadine.

Hi, your written English is very good. I learnt a little British Sign Language a few years ago, I never use it so sadly I ave forgotten most of it now. I haven't heard of Evylyn before but I find this man an inspiration. Despite his Deafness and eventual blindness he managed to be an inspiration to many. The book was written via a Deaf/Blind interpreter who wrote it on a Braille typewriter so the author could check it himself. And incidentally he learnt to speak several languages, both spoken and in sign.

Hmm... I checked the phrasebook, and it says "¡Dale!" means "bring it on!" I would wait for a more advanced or native speaker, though.
