Yo quisiera ser tu llanto

I've heard this song a thousand times but it never occured to me until now, what the heck does he mean by "Yo quisiera ser tu llanto" I want to be your crying? Could it be like "I want to be the reason that you are crying?" because I don't get it. wink

Gracias.

crying is also considered a mechanism for venting/healing your grief, sorrow, etc. - 0074b507, Jul 24, 2011

Hmmm..... Poetic, isn´t it.

"Yo quisiera ser tu llanto"

I would like to be your crying ( I would like to become your tears).

The meaning is really quite simple when you think in a poetic way. In the same style of expression you could also say:

I would like to become your heart, or your beautiful eyes my love.

Would this correspond to English, "I want to be the shoulder you cry on?"

Perhaps - 'the one you cry for' smile They probably just couldn't fit the 'ése por quien' in on that line.
