Pursuing a career in Spanish?

I really enjoy learning using a practicing Spanish. It is one of those things I happen to be good at. What do you think of pursuing a career in Spanish.

I was thinking that being a college teacher would be the best and most rewarding job.

I was thinking one of the best routes would be to try to get into an M.A program.

However b4 so, I have to improve my Spanish considerably. I would classify myself as an advanced student. *Even though ranking systems seem to be quite arbitrary. However, my reading comprehension needs considerable work and I do not speak Spanish so idiomatically.

In order to improve my Spanish considerable I am trying to find employment in a Spanish speaking country after I graduate college (With a B.A in Politics/Economics/Philosophy and a minor in Spanish) this December.

Any advice from people who have been in my position?

This is actually what I'm going back to school for..a master in Spanish to be able to teach in a university setting. Even after getting the masters though, I think one would only be able to be an instructor, and you wouldn't be considered a part of the college really (not being able to get tenure, etc).

Yes, not only should you be looking into advancing your Spanish, but also (unless things are different where you are), you need a bachelor's degree (4 year major) before being able to even apply for the masters program.

I myself literally finished taking the GRE last week. The math was HARD! I hate how the GRE is part of the application process, but..do what you gotta do, right?
