Necesario is an adjective, meaning necessary.
Necesito is the first person present of the verb necesitar.
Es necesario comer para vivir. - It is necessary to eat in order to live.
Necesito comer para vivir. I need to eat in order to live.

Necesito is used in first person
Examples:
Yo necesito un cuaderno para escribir.
Yo necesito verte mañana.
Yo te necesito.
Necesario is used in something general
Examples
Es necesario ayudar a los necesitados.
Es necesario trabajar
Es necesario estudiar todos los días para aprender español.
