¿Qué significa matar un tigrito?
I'm reading this article about the burgeoning black markets in Venezuela:
In that sense, the leader [actually governor] of Carabobo wondered "if the national government is going to go against the informal market in Venezuela, given that 40 percent of Venezuelans say that they are employed, not because they have a fixed job, but because they work in the informal sector selling in the street, then that law is going against those that scavenge or "kill a little tiger" in order to survive, when the scarcity is caused by the government itself."
So, I'm guessing they're not really killing tigers in the streets of Caracas unless things have changed even more dramatically than I thought since I was there last. Anyone know what matar un tigrito really means?

It seems to mean moonlighting or doing a little bit of this and that.
