Hasta - until or even

Hasta - until or even

In this case, does hasta mean 'until' or 'even'? I'm wondering if the placement of 'no' determines it?

Q: Van estar en el studio ahora? A: No hasta el viernes y ya teniamos todo pa grabar pero siempre no.

Not until friday.... or (not today), not even friday.......

how can I tell when it means until and not even? It means even as well.

I think you could tell by context. Take the following two examples:

¿Cuándo vuelves a trabajar? Hasta el sábado no trabajo. = When do you go back to work? I don't work until Saturday.

¿Tienes el sábado libre? No, ¡hasta el sábado tengo que trabajar! = Do you have Saturday off? No. I even have to work on Saturday!

I'm not sure how else to tell the difference.
