In spanish there is a number of words that end with dad.
Such as calidad or ciudad. Do they have a special name for them. Because adverbs have the word endings "mente" calidad and ciudad with the same ending have "ty".

They don't have a name but there are another things.
First, the words that end with -dad are nouns.
Second, they are always feminine nouns which means they have the article la.
And the words end with-mente , which stands for -ly, are called adverbs.
They don't all end in "-ty" in English, sometimes "-ness":
maldad - wickedness (evil)
bondad - goodness/kindness
frialdad - coldness
I don't think the suffix has a special name, but it just denotes a type of abstract noun.
calidad = quality
ciudad = city
Those are nouns.
