Hola todos!

Tomorrow i will start my regular schedule of coming on here daily, doing the flashcards, interacting on the threads and truly working hard towards fluency. I took my placement test for college spanish, and i placed in the intermediate level, however i know my skills are not up to par. Fluency is not my goal...my goal is to understand y be understood. I look forward to communicating more with you all! LOL

"Fluency is not my goal...my goal is to understand and be understood."

Good luck! When I started, I had very modest goals. I thought that if I just learned the present tense and then stuck on a time phrase, people would understand me, right? Like: Yesterday, I go to the store.

But here's what happens. Even if people understand you, you aren't going to understand THEM. Which doesn't make for very interesting conversation. Luckily, you have found a place where people delight in the complexities of language and soon you will find yourself learning more than you ever imagined! It's fun when you have a community of caring, supportive, funny, argumentative, and intelligent friends.
