Eficaz y eficiente

Question

Is there any difference between eficaz and eficiente (both adjectives) and can they be used interchangeably? Eficaz (yay first time using a post link over a thread link je je - hope it works - gracias Sonrisa The link option)

I believe they're different concepts - very nicely illustrated by Lalo. And the difference is the same in Spanish or English.

Efficacious (eficaz): successful in producing a desired or intended result; effective

Efficient (eficiente): achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense

eficiencia is when you do your job or something very very well, for example in five steps eficaz is when you do your job or something very very well too, but in two steps sory for my bad english
