Aviseme. Still in use?

Is this phrase still in common use? It means, of course "let me know" and comes from avisar, meaning "to advise". I'm curious because I'm taking an older spanish course and this phrase, as well as others, is used somewhat regularly but I seldom see or hear them today.

It's still in use but you forgot to put the accent.
Avíseme
example: Avíseme si me llaman.
But as you'd guess it's the formal form of the verb, if you are talking to your friend it would be incorrect to use this form.
example: Avísame cuando vuelvas Tonin.
