factura de la luz

If you go and pay in person, they will give you a recibo or comprobante de pago.

Our dictionary has "receipt (de compra)" as its first entry followed by "bill (informal) (del gas, de la luz)" so... it does sound acceptable... I personally like "cuenta" which may also refer to your overall account with the power company but "factura" is probably the closest equivalent to our "utility bill or statement"... being in the transportation business, I have used "fractura" as bill of lading or invoice of goods... so lots of interchangeability here! wink
