What does de que tienes miedo mean?
Hello my friends, does "de que tienes miedo" mean "what are you afraid of"? The translator only says "afraid that", this is the complete sentence "de que tienes miedo te pregunto si quieres casarte conmigo". I think it means "are you afraid that I will ask you to marry me", I am not sure so any help will be appreciated. Thanks

You are correct that "¿De qué tienes miedo?" means "What are you afraid of?" However, the complete sentence that you gave does not make sense in Spanish. It sounds like it should be two sentences:
¿De qué tienes miedo? Te pregunto si quieres casarte conmigo.
What are you afraid of? I am asking you if you want to marry me.
or possibly
¿De qué tienes miedo? Te preguntó si quieres casarte conmigo.
What are you afraid of? He/She asked you if you want to marry me.
If you were to ask "Are you afraid that I will ask you to marry me?" it would be:
¿Tienes miedo de que te pida que te cases conmigo?
It makes sense if you add the proper punctuation: ¿De qué tienes miedo? Te pido que te cases conmigo. This means : what are you afraid of? I'm asking you to marry me.
