In spanish, people sometime add "de ley" to emphasize what you have just said. - pkkry523, Jul 13, 2011
I think it means that you aren't going to get where you want to in time. :) Just joking. - Daniela2041, Jan 1, 2017

What (capitalized, please) do "I" mean by that phrase, or what does the phrase "de ley" mean in Spanish?

De ley, you hear it a lot more in Ecuador, but that doesn't mean you won't hear it anywhere else, pretty much the same as "de hecho" or "por supuesto", meaning "absolutely" "definitely" "of course" "hands down" "by all means", etc. Well you "de ley" get the idea, don't you? wink

It can mean many different things, we'd need some context.

For example oro de ley means pure gold, hombre de ley, reliable man etc smile
