¡Joéeee! Todo estaba super pelao.

And I just know those great guessers will have a go at it, I am always surprised that you finally come up with an answer!
The challenge: Find out what we were talking about or what he meant

Do not investigate on the web! I want to see what you thought or guessed, not what you found out![]()
No Spanish speaking natives.
If a native has no idea, then guess too, jeje, I was often quite lost when Gekko said some of his sentences.
Anyway, if you are sure, don't say anything until more members have tried their luck![]()

F@#%!! It was all very bare, deserted, empty or kind of lifeless!!
You dived but didn't see what you had expected. The spot where you dived in didn't have any exciting creatures, sea animals or fish, so it's like a bald head, Simply there was nothing there.
Jebus, everything was a ripoff!
I know!!! I have just remembered one of my Spanish classes!! Was the water freezing cold?!
¡Joéeee! Todo estaba super pelao.
Joe! I was all hairlike. "pelao" looks like pelo to me. That is my guess.
I've heard pelao used to describe a fight a disturbance a great upset. Maybe what you mean is that there were lots and lots and lots of fish all swimming around. Like a fish jam as opposed to a traffic jam
Heidita!!!! Este es bien difícil! Puedes darnos otra pista?!!!
I've got to go with pelear so .....Holy S$!T everyone is trashed. (beat the hell out of themselves)
Oooowee, the water is so clear!
Joéeee is none other than "that" word. The actual spelling is different, of course.
Mi intento: Omg! Everything was incredible!
(But this is too obvious, so I won't bet on it.)
bad word beginning with F everything is peeled
¡Joéeee! Todo estaba super pelao.

Well, looking at your comments on Birdland's answer... maybe you saw tons of dead fish in the sea... :-(
Bueno señores....aún no hay ninguna respuesta cerca....
Hint:
Pelao = pelado
So what can it mean in the context?
Dammit, everything underneath was silted and covered with mud!!!!
I know from my Caribbean friends that the word can mean something like "bare" or "exposed". I even called to verify, so I hope that wasn't cheating since I knew I heard it before. But then, it doesn't make sense in the sentence or context of diving.
Did you mean something like:
Joe, I (he, she) was totally exposed?
That doesn't even make sense, but thought I would make a guess. ![]()
Ok this is ringing a bell - I know that often the 'd' can be left unpronounced in certain words so if it is pelado - bald - and you're with a group of divers could it be that rather than everyone being bald, quite unlikely je je, that everyone is experienced? Ie - wisdom or experience comes with age and so does being bald? Oh and the super would make them super experienced?
