Es una frase que se usa como exclamación. Tiene que ver con la frase "son of a (palabrota)" pero el orador no quiere usar la palabrota.

Disculpe los errores con español si hay.

hablante o orador - BellaMargarita, Jul 11, 2011
Maybe it´s not used in all parts of the U.S. or in other English speaking countries. - tc84, Jul 11, 2011
I was thinking "hablador" didn't sound right. I should have checked the translation. - tc84, Jul 11, 2011

I would recommend that English learners not use this expression. It can mean different things depending on the context. It may be used for emphasis, as in the lyrics of one song: "son of a gun, gonna have some fun, on the bayou". It also is sometimes used as an exclamation, perhaps as a substitute for or in the same way as 'son of a b****'.

Agreed! I'm a native English speaker, and I can't even give a definitive answer to the question. :-) - jamesbjenkins, Jul 11, 2011
