Context: I heard this on a talk show. At the point where I heard this we already had one side of the argument, and the host was bringing out the other opponent. (Hmm...I may need to look up the root of opponent)

was there anything else said immediately after or before that? Or was it just said on its own? Because it seems to just mean 'put the thing'....(?)

The context was that a mother was renting a room to a another lady who had lifestyle choices that offended her son but not her. The host said, "Vamos a una pausa, pone la cose. - LaloLoco, Jul 11, 2011
