Articles and their usage
Why "una película" and "un paseo"? Is this telling us that to watch a movie is feminine and to walk is masculine?
1 Answer
Yes, but they are nouns not verbs. A movie and a walk are feminine and masculine, respectively. Remember that nouns have gender and adjectives show concordance. Verbs have no gender.
Indefinite articles (un, una, unos, unas) precede nouns. (of course, nouns can be noun clauses, noun phrases, verb infinitives, etc.).
