I heard in the song "Quiero ser" the word "verita" which is supposed to mean side. However, I cannot find it in any spanish dictionary. What is the origin of this word. Thanks

It is either the diminutive or "vera", meaning "close to me" or "edge", or It is the Latin for "truth" (modern Spanish: verdad")

I am sorry, I have just remembered a song. This is part of the lyrics.

A tu vera a tu vera

siempre a la verita tuya

siempre a la verita tuya

aunque yo por ti me muera

................

In the song, the person is very close to the other person.

And here you have a very typical song in Spain. I think I remember the song when hearing the words "a tu vera".

a tu vera
