Chat accesibility

I had a quick look at chat tonight but didn't bother to join in as I found it quite a strain to see the type.

A normal web page is easy a quick scroll of the mouse and you can enlarge it but it didn't work on chat. Is there any way of making the type in chat bigger?

Wilbur, it depends on the internet browser you use.

If you are using Windows, as your operating system, sometimes the

Ctrl-Shift-+

combination will work. Try it, and also let me know your browser.

From there, I'll try to help you more.

Have you ever tried using Window's Magnifier? Simple program that opens and closes (don't have to install, configure, etc.)

In Windows 7

Start-type Magnifier in program search box-click on the link to the program

Just close the program when you are done using it.

Its efficiency depends on the resolution of your monitor, etc.

Good thinking! Because I'm legally blind, I use it all the time, but it is not always comfortable to use. I guess it ultimately depends on the person as to which solution works best? - territurtle, Jul 8, 2011

OK I have tried that it does the same as Ctrl and then scroll with the mouse, it enlarges the webpage but the wrttting in chat stays the same, the magnifier works though, thanks for the suggestion. I knew it was there but as I never use it it never entered my head.

For general use I don't like it as you only see part of the page but for chat it will be OK as the word area fits in the enlarged window.
