Is "encontrar un trabajo" the most common way to say this? Muchas gracias.

Encontrar un trabajo means "to find a job".

If you were commanding someone to find a job, you would say "Encuentra un trabajo" or "encuentre un trabajo".

Use "encuentra" if speaking to someone younger than you or a close friend. You would use "encuentre" if addressing someone older than you, someone you just met, or someone you want to show respect to.

I hope I helped grin
