"Pajarico" for "pajarito"?

"Pajarico" for "pajarito"?

I was trying to translate a Spanish song named "Una moneda le di".

The singer says the word "pajarico". Is there a chance I misheard or is it another word for "pajarito" in Spain, meaning little bird?

I'm pretty sure I listened to it very carefully. The singer is not a native though, he could have made a mistake.

Thank you in advance.

The diminutive with -ico is used (along with -ito and -illo) in at least some parts of the south and east (and north-east) of Spain, some countries around the Caribbean and Argentina.

Thank you Lazarus. I think the creators of the song were from Andalucía. - ianta, Jul 7, 2011
