Hi "mum", I hope you get better soon and that it wasn't because of the tacos I brought from Mexico. smile

Hola "mami", espero que te mejores pronto y que no haya sido por los tacos que traje de México.

Yes, it's kind of an international mum. smile

Buena respuesta :) - Fidalgo, Jul 7, 2011
I want!!! You better make me these whenever I come to visit you in Mexico. You can leave out ''that'' in your English sentence. Other than that, it is perfect, as always ;) *hugs and kisses hermanito* - HotChickCD, Jul 8, 2011

Hello Mrs. Gomez, I'm so sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well after that dinner I cooked for your family, and next time I will not add the hot chicken feet.

Hola Señora, lo siento al saber que no se siente bien después de la cena que cociné para su familia, y la próxima vez no voy a incluir las patas picantes de pollo.

Great! I was afraid I was getting rusty on the "formal" mode of address. Thank you, Dakie! - pesta, Jul 6, 2011
No way, it's very usual to address a "Mrs" that way. ;) - Dakie, Jul 6, 2011
I use to love chicken feet...stew, curry, in souse, in soup. Oh well, I weren't be seeing that for ages. Excellent work pesta!!! Thank you for always posting on my threads *hugs* - HotChickCD, Jul 8, 2011

Por favor mejórate pronto. Echo de menos poder jugar con tu colección de cabezas humanas reducidas.

Please get well soon. I miss being able to play with your collection of shrunken heads.

por favor mejórate pronto...; although the rest is correct, you changed the meaning of "missing" for "being sad"...; change it if you want...; very good job ;) - Dakie, Jul 6, 2011
Thanks. I did cheat using "triste," because I was afraid I was a little over my head with what I *really* wanted to say. With help from SD's phrasebook, I gave it my best shot above. Please let me know how close I came? - territurtle, Jul 7, 2011
A hint: "extraño/echo de menos" is always followed by a verb in its infinitive form. - Dakie, Jul 7, 2011
Heavens, you're a **wonderful** teacher!! - territurtle, Jul 7, 2011
Thank you turtle :) you're correct now. - Dakie, Jul 7, 2011
Haha, who wouldn't miss the shrunken heads! lol :) - pesta, Jul 7, 2011
Nice :) - Fidalgo, Jul 7, 2011
Thanks Pesta and Fidalgo! - territurtle, Jul 7, 2011
The Adam's family :O I have not seen that show in ages. And yes, Gabby is a wonderful teach and great English Student ;) Keep up the good work turtle *Hugs* - HotChickCD, Jul 8, 2011

= I am sorry to hear that your mother is ill after skydiving into Niagara Falls. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea after all. Nevertheless, I hope she recovers as quickly as possible and tries to take up (learn) a safer hobby next time, such as gardening

Corregid mi español, por favor grin

There's not a verb for "skydiving" in Spanish so you have to say something like: después de practicar paracaidismo (no accent) en las Cataratas del Niágara (accent)...; idea(no accent)...; espero que (ella) se recupere lo más rápido (accent)...; - Dakie, Jul 7, 2011
y trate de aprender (subjuntive)...; Bien hecho Paul ;) - Dakie, Jul 7, 2011
Gracias Dakie desfortadamente he cometido muchos errores en esta frase - FELIZ77, Jul 7, 2011
not a big deal, everybody would have understood the message. :) - Dakie, Jul 7, 2011
Haha.....good sentence Paul. I see you are writing more and more :) I love reading your post on here. They are always interesting. *Hugs* - HotChickCD, Jul 8, 2011

In order not to be redundant, I'd change "lo siento" por Lamento, so: Lamento que no se sienta bien, espero que se mejore pronto. (or everything tú or everything usted) good job Jason ;) ;) - Dakie, Jul 7, 2011
Jason there is a little error in your English sentence. You are not feeling well/ you're not feeling well. Also, put a full stop after ''well'' and you can remove ''that''. - HotChickCD, Jul 8, 2011
Keep up the good work and thank you for always posting *hugs* - HotChickCD, Jul 8, 2011
