¿Se puede decir: ''si yo fuera tú'' o ''si yo que tú'' para significar if I were you?

I have seen Heidi introduce si ''yo que tú ''here some time ago and think that it means if I were you but I also hought that ''si yo fuera tu ''was the most common way of saying that.

Please could someone tell me are both sentences are correct, and if so, which is the most common way of saying ''If I were you'' ?

Sí, ambas formas son posibles:

Yo que tú me iría.

Si yo fuera tú me iría.

YO que él me quedaría.

si yo fuera él me quedaría.

NO es posible decir:

si yo que tú.....

Pues yo hablo en español de España (o eso creo) y a mí no me suena raro.

• Yo que tú tendría cuidado con ese tipo.
• Si fuera tú tendría cuidado con ese tipo.
• Yo en tu lugar tendría cuidado con ese tipo (EDIT)
• Yo de ti tendría cuidado con ese tipo (la he escuchado alguna vez pero a mí no me sale de forma natural).

¿Soy yo sola entonces?

"Yo te di" is not correct, in this case at least. Although you can say "Yo de ti espero un gran regalo." But this have another meaning. - ale_rd, Jul 6, 2011
