Abracadabra, patas de cabra...

Question

This book I am reading on phonetics is loaded with proverbs I have never seen before. Im trying to make sense of the following: "Abracadabra, patas de cabra, que la puerta se abra." I'm pretty sure this is something that a magician might say while doing tricks, but does it have any other meaning? Is there an English equivalent?

From what I can gather the translation is abracadabra, crowbars, the door opens. If that's the case an English equivalent might be, open sesame.
