Thank you. I think thats the nearest meaning for it. - venus_z, Jul 1, 2011

I think you are asking if "eres un amor de chico" is used to give someone thanks for completing a favor.

From your other questions, it looks like you are reading a book. What are the sentences around this phrase?

yes, thats right. i have a project in university and i have to translate this book to persian! and the conversation was this:—Mi padre tiene un despacho cerca de aquí, Si quieres, podemos dormir los dos juntos. _Gracias, vida. eres un amor de chico. - venus_z, Jul 1, 2011
I see now! :) - GuitarWarrior, Jul 1, 2011
now is that a thank you? - venus_z, Jul 1, 2011
I believe so. It looks like it fits the context. - danrivera, Jul 1, 2011
It does. It sounds more to me like you are complementing the person after saying "thank you", which comes naturally. Of course, I could be wrong. - GuitarWarrior, Jul 1, 2011

Don't take it bad, but your sentence in Spanish is really hard to understand. What is your question again ?

I was having trouble, too. After viewing the profile and looking at the other questions, I think venus may be learning both English and Spanish. - danrivera, Jul 1, 2011

One uses this phrase instead of saying "thank you" to someone else who has done a favor for you. (If that's what you are trying to say, it had some errors in it)

That is how I understood it as well. It would seem that you have confirmed her thoughts. - danrivera, Jul 1, 2011
