Verification on my translation please
Thanks to Deanski, Remolacha and shakedowndave for responding to my question.
You have it right shakedowndave, it is part of a poem Sandra sent to me. I'll include the verse above and below and what I roughly translate them to mean.
Intense sighs, hot looks Caressing hugs and burning kisses Golden moments as in the summer sun The breeze blowing in the evening ???? the rest I'm not sure of In turn we desire, passion... There is no weather to turn off this desire ????
The 4th line was the original I submitted. But it was suggested that more context would be helpful.
Many thanks & happy days John in Oz

From Amor En Splendor -- Oriza Martins. . .
...with considerable liberty taken. . .
The breeze that blows at sunset
That to others a bit of chill will bring
In us kindles the desire and the passion
No climate exists that smothers this fire
That in us more and more newly inflames
Because our love ... is pure splendor. . .
Intense sighs, hot looks, caresses, hugs and burning kisses Moments golden like the summer sun. The breeze that blows in the evening, that to others comes to bring a little coldness. In us ignites the desire, the fervor... There does not exist a climate/atmosphere that quenches this flame.
I tried as much as I could not to change the original.
I'm still not sure, though.
I hope my Spanish is ok ![]()
This is what I have:
Intense sighs, hot looks Caresses, hugs and burning kisses Golden moments as in the summer sun The breeze blowing in the evening, (the rest I'm not sure of, neither am I) In us turns on the desire, passion... There is no weather to turn off this flame.
I really didn't understand the part of "que a los otros un poco". ![]()
