Todos los días no está el diablo.....

He aquí otro dicho muy interesante que jamás había oído hasta esta noche. Dice así: "Todos los días no está el diablo detrás de la puerta." Creo que quiere decir: "Every cloud has a silver lining." ¿Verdad?

Cada uno de ustedes vale más que toda la plata del mundo. Gracias.

I have never heard this particular one, but I would think that it means that not all days are bad days and good things happen sometimes.

Nunca lo había oído tampoco. Quizá significa que hasta el diablo se distrae a veces, y que uno no debe darse nunca por vencido. Pero no sé cómo decirlo en inglés.

I believe I saw some phrases in the Phrase Section of SpanDict which are just what you are looking for. You might try doing a search there?

Trust me it is not there. I love proverbs, and this is a very uncommon one. - pescador1, Jul 1, 2011
