Hello Monreal and Welcome to the SpanishDict forum
What does your age have to do with learning? Age is not a barrier. I am sure that there are many people here much older than you are. Age can affect the speed at which we can learn but does not prevent us from learning new things. People more than 20 years older than you have qualifed with certificates from University!
Infact, one of my friends here called Ray, from Australia, is in his 70's and he has already learnt a lot of Spanish and is one of our most enthusiatic participants both in this forum and in the Skype chats we have.
So please do not allow age to discourage you from learning ...it cannot stop you from learning Spanish but a negative attitude of: ''I think I cannot do it because I am too old now'' can be a potential barrier!
Just be patient with yourself and be realistic in the goals you set yourself for learning Spanish and you will see that you can make progress and learn it!
Please remember that we are a friendly and loving community here for each other and willing to help each other, and that of course includes You!
I would encourage you to get started by listening to our qualified Spanish teacher : Paralee Whitmire through these series of short video clips beginning with Spanish 1 for beginners

I'm guessing that you are trying to say "I'm 58 years old, too old to learn?" and I would answer to you, "nonsense!". I am 59, tengo cinquenta y nueve años y soy principiante aquí en SpanishDict.
Tengo 77 años , and it is not stopping me amigo , age is not a barrier but an asset
so go for it , enjoy every moment here , put your age behind you ,look forward
to all the wonderful things happening today right here on SD.
Hah! Una bola de jovenes! Live, love, laugh, learn!
¿Demasiado viejo para aprender? ¡Nunca!
Too old to learn? Never!
Loved the question! I am hoping you are saying, "I have been learning for 58 years and I am never going to stop learning. "
At over 55 and trying to learn Spanish again I think it will take perseverence. And a little Spansh has to be better than none at all. But we can still learn.
A secret I picked up while volunteering in a class for students of a second language at our local college. Don't be afraid to make mistakes! Enjoy the process and keep laughing, making comments and enjoying.
Tengo 67 años y estudio español con mucho gusto.
