Picture of the Day? It will be posted and corrected (!!) by Vicente:)

Question

Does anyone know what has happened to Picture of the Day? I haven't been able to find Picture of the Day, today: 29th June 2011 It is normally there by the time I get up It is 10:32 am in England and a few people say 4 or 5 have already posted their responses by that time.

I am asking because it is a wonderful resource to practice Spanish and I miss it soooooooo much when it is not there. It is my favourite thread.

I would also encourage people to vote more generously for people's posts in this and other threads like Word of the Day posted by Marshall and IndianaChris not just because the post might be clever or funny but becuase the person has put a lot of effort into working at their Spanish. and they need some daily encouragement!

I have sadly noticed that some posts which receive a perfecto o muy bien receive fewer votes than when the person has made many mistakes surely the point is to improve our spanish not simply compete to produce clever or witty captions?

Feliz - Jen is taking a break, so Vicente will be taking over the Picture of the Day.

It will probably be a little later than usual, due to the time difference, as he is from Chile.

This should have been asked directly to an admin, feliz, as you know, but I am leaving it so that everybody can see we actually found somebody to take over the corrections too, that is great as it is a very cumbersome job.
