The following statements are about Ana. For each situation give her a logical informal affirmative command.

Example: Ana tiene hambre. >> Come un sandwich.

  1. Ana tiene sed. My answer for this is Bebe un vaso de agua.

  2. Ana tiene sueño. My answer for this is Dorme en la cama.

  3. Ana tiene frío. I need help with this one..

  4. Ana tiene cuatro exámenes. My answer for this is Estudia para un exámen.

  5. Ana está triste. I need help with this one..

Thank you.

Generally speaking, the informal imperative follows whatever the "tu" form in the present indicative is, minus the s (if it's a positive command).

Thus, the second one should be "Duerme (en la cama)"

If Ana is cold, she could put something on. So maybe "Ponte una chaqueta"? I believe there are a lot of ways to tell someone to put something on - I don't know which is the most common (it might vary by country too).

Not sure about Ana esta triste... maybe "Mira una buena pelicula" or something?

Informal commands:

Bebe un vaso de agua. Very good!

Dorme en la cama.

Very close. "Dormir" is a tricky stem changer...try "duerme".

Ana tiene frío.

Ponte un suéter. [Put on a sweater].

Estudia para un exámen

The "estudia" is correct. Para is correct. Also, try "los exámenes", not "un..."

Ana está triste

Ana is sad. ¡Traele chocolate! [Bring her chocolate!] wink

Correct my mistakes, por favor.

Good questions. I hope I helped you grin

¡Duerme en la cama! (The verb is a stem changer)

Ana tiene frío. How about, ¡Enciende la calentador! (Turn on the heater)

Estudia para un exámen - ¡Estudia para tus exámenes! (Hay cuatro, no?)

Ana está triste - ¡Anímale! (Cheer her up!)

I think you want exclamation marks when you give a command in Spanish.

Espero que esté correcto!

The following statements are about Ana. For each situation give her a logical informal affirmative command.

Reading the instructions, Ana is someone you know well, and you are commanding (well, politely asking) her to do the following things.

  • Ana tiene hambre... Come un sándwich/bocadillo.

Ana is hungry... Eat a sandwich.

  • Ana tiene sed... Bebe un vaso de agua. Good

Ana is thirsty... Drink a glass of water

  • Ana tiene sueño... Duerme en la cama/ Guarda cama.

Ana is sleepy... Sleep in the bed/ stay in bed.

  • Ana tiene frío... Lleva una cobija.

Ana is cold... Bring a blanket.

  • Ana tiene cuatro exámenes... Estudia para los exámenes.

Ana has 4 tests... Study for the exams.

  • Ana está triste... ¡¡¡Anímate!!!grin

Ana is sad... Cheer up!!! grin

I hope this helps smile
