How do you say: "I can't believe it's already been a year since...."

Is it: "No puedo creer que ya ha pasado un año desde que..."

I think this is correct, but it seems really formal. Is there a more casual way to say it?

Thanks.

I would use past tense:

No puedo creer que ya pasó un año desde que...

Or, a different one:

No puedo creer que ya fue un año desde que...

I use a lot the first one.

Hope this helps.

As you say, yours is kind of formal, however in Spain it would be very normal I guess. - Dakie, Jun 28, 2011

I think that your sentence is grammataically correct but there may be a more colloquial and less formal way of expressing what you want to say

I hope this helps grin

Hi! Yes, it's correct, like "parece que fué ayer que"... "It's looks like yesterday that"...Well, I am not sure if you use that expression in English.
