How do you know how many posts a member has submitted?
I have seen threads about members reaching 1,000 and 2,000 posts. My question is how is this information seen? I do not even know how many posts I have.
Update: Eddy's 3,000 posts

Each list of recent three posts is followed by a "More" link.
From there you can browse, or skip ahead by editing your url, and put a big number at the end. For you, 340 gave me the last page (page 18). It's a bit of trial-and-error, but you can determine the count this way. Yuk!
Edit: more info...
Use a really big number at the end of the url, and then go to the bottom and click the highest-numbered page link. You're done!
By using this method, I see that Heidita has about 11,260 answers, and has posted about 840 threads. ![]()
Wow thank you so much Dan for asking that question and Pesta for answering it!
I have answered: 1360 thread ![]()
And asked: 180 question
I'm addicted!
If anybody thinks my post count is impressive, look at Lazarus, he has
6360
questions answered!
I only have 840, that is why his reputation point count is very impressive, just like quentin's, both of them are often as sensitive as a brick wall
, but their knowledge is undisputed, I do not know what this forum would be without them![]()
Oh, Quentin has actually
9180
questions answered!
And that is just the questions answered, which is not the same as posts, as on one question, they often answer two or three times. ![]()
This method is counting (and listing, if you want) actual posts.
Reputation is about votes that earn 10 points each (although not all earned points are added, when the daily limit of 200 is reached). Reputation is also accumulated differently by being "accepted" for best answer, and accepted phrasebook contributions.

On the old version of this site, I believe that they used to track how many posts each member had made (similar to the way WR does), but I think that they did away with this feature in favor of reputation points when they renovated the site. Those congratulatory threads for number of posts were made before the changeover. Ask Ian, Samdie, Qfreed, Heidita, Laz or some of the other members who have been around the longest. They can probably give you a better description of what the old format was like.
Can you link one of those threads? Are you sure they aren't talking about reputation? If so, you can see the reputation breakdown in your profile's Reputation tab.
