God in His infinite wisdom
Did not make me very wise-
So when my actions are stupid
They hardly take God by surprise
~Langston Hughes
Maybe it would be best to simply move
Onward and upward
No need to grind anyone else into the ground
As we move forward
We are all human
With human emotions
Anger, Hurt, and Love
Why not
Choose Love
Just my thoughts

Although this is supposed to be a prayer for those that belong to Alcoholic Anonymous, the truth is I find it applicable to every situation in human experience.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
How long do people have to be alive to learn that you can't make somebody agree with you by spouting your own opinions at them? Yet it seems this is what so many people can't avoid doing.
How about if we just accept that we don't all have the same opinions on everything, and let it pass?
How much can serious harm can somebody do to another by writing things one disagrees with on a on a website?
It's not as if politicians are going to see, for example, an anti-gay post and say "Hey yeh, you know, they're right, let's not allow this law to be passed" or vice versa.
Now you have a little opinion from me too jeje.
I will just add that I don't want anybody to leave.
Or, as Rodney King said, "Why can't we all just get along?"
"We're born naked; the rest is all drag." Rupaul

I am with you Izanoni!
Out of everything that there is to believe in. I choose to believe in Love!
There are many things in this world that we can choose to believe in. I choose to believe in Love. I believe that I have ought to believe that I should Love my neighbors as I love myself! It is my belief that this is the best choice we can make.
I do infact choose to love people, all people. I even choose to love those who do not agree with what I believe in.
However, as far as acceptance goes, should another belief be that hate is the best option, I am unable to accept that belief.
If we find ourselves hating other people, perhaps we should ask ourselves if what we believe in is the best thing to believe in.
An honest question we have all ought to ask ourselves. Your friend,
Amor y paz
In a world wide community, it is virtually (no pun intended) impossible for all of us to agree with each other 100% of the time. Forget doing it worldwide, we can't even do it among our own personal friends and family.
I agree with my friend Izan here:
Why not Choose Love
I don't know what happened in the thread, but we have had several disagreements in this forum over the years. The great thing is that we continue to forgive and move on. Our ultimate goal here is language learning in a friendly environment. I think this can be achieved if we focus on all of the positive things we have shared together over the years (or for however long you have been here). ![]()
Remember the last time you were angry , how did you feel .
Remember the last time you were happy , how did you feel .
Which will you choose next time ? Make it your choice and not someone else's.

Drop the word God off the beginning and these are words you can live by, what ever your beliefs: May I have the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
