Confusing English Words Challenge 24

Question

Algunas palabras en inglés pueden crear confusion en los principiantes.

Some words in English can be confusing for learners.

This one is to practice the conjunctions - in case - so that

Both native Spanish and English speakers may answer - but write both Spanish and English sentences.

I would appreciate some help in checking the Spanish sentences.

Agradecería una cierta ayuda en la comprobación de las oraciones españolas.

I will "accept" the best effort after about a week

Every attempt will get a vote.

NOTE - we would normally need 2 sentences in both languages that illustrate how the the following are used. It can be done in one sentence.

a) in case

b) so that

Futher explanation as to the different meanings may be given.

Please do not suggest new words.

My attempt:

in case	Tomé mi guante de béisbol al para el juego de pelota en caso de que atrapé atrapaba una bola de foul.	I took my baseball glove to the ball game in case I caught a foul ball.
so that	Estoy aprendiendo español para que puedo pueda (imperative) hablar con más fluidez con los demás.	I am learning Spanish so that I can speak more fluently with others.

in case, so that

The phrase ¨in case¨ is often used at the beginning of a subordinate clause; and expresses possibility. - Take a sweater in case it gets cold.

The subordinate conjunction “so that” is used with the meaning “in order that”, “so” is usually followed by “that” in formal English. - I am saving money so that I can buy a bicycle.

In case of fire, break the glass so that you can pull the fire alarm lever.

En caso de incendio, rompe el vidrio para que puede extraer el alarmo de incendio.

(please consider this two sentences - like "In case of fire, break the glass" and "Break the glass so that you can pull the fire alarm lever" )

-In case you don't know this, I've been working all day long.
