Question

I'm not leaving, either (although some might wish I would).

But I will be on much less. Now that I'm back to work after my back surgery, I seem to have much less time. Hmmm... strange how that works.

I think I'm going to quit my job and move to a Latin American country. Any suggestions?

Then I won't have to study Spanish anymore... I'll just be immersed in it and learn without even trying.

Then I can start to learn Chinese.

Tosh, me temo que estás mal!. Si quieres aprender español tienes que seguir estudiando, si te mudas a latinoamerica se te va a facilitar mucho pero no garantiza que vallas a aprender bien el español. Deberías hablar con Frank(pacofinkler) el vive en México y a pesar que interactua diariamente con mexicanos sigue estudiando español. Gracias a eso su español ya está muy avanzado. I'm glad to hear you're doing better. If you move to another country, I suggest one with great beaches. I'm still n the recovery phase with my ankle, at least 3 more weeks. No! Fun!

No me voy a otro país. Mi esposa nunca lo permitiría, y mi hija no le gusta la idea. Pero, muchas gracias por tus palabras amables. No creo que estoy avanzado en español. Quizás en otro año y medio. Entonces, voy a tener que estudiar para aprender, por ahora.

Tosh, I didn't know you had back surgery! I know exactly what it's like to be off of work for an extended period of time recuperating from surgery (I had a total knee replacement last winter). It really sucks when you have to go back to work, doesn't it?
I hated going back to work and not having any time to do what I wanted to do.
It would be fantastic to just pick up and move to a Latin American country! If you have the means to do it, then go for it! But don't forget us here in SD! You could then help the rest of us learn Spanish!
