Sonrisa did a good job - the only thing I would add is a fussy point about "technology" and words like it- technology is a "study" or a body of knowledge or methods. It is not good to say "technology like my computer" because your computer is not "technology"; it is a product, benefit, result, etc. of technology ... It sounds "illiterate" to equate the knowledge with the hardware created using the knowledge. And I bet that you do not study "technology" to keep from being bored! I would suggest you stick with the simplest wording, maybe "Without my computer ..." in the first sentence, and "Without technological tools and toys ..." in the second sentence, or something like that.
