This puzzled me for a good bit...until I looked up habla and saw it can be a noun, too (I did not know that until just now). You *are* using habla as a noun meaning language here, right? (Otherwise, my mind is blown.) :-) - webdunce, Jun 22, 2011

"Nunca he ido a un pais de habla hispana." If you say "Nunca he estado en un país de hable hispana", then you are saying I have never been in a spanish speaking country. In English, when you say I have never been to a place you are essentially saying I have never gone there, not I have never been in there.
