¿Qué significa esta frase marcada?

Un caballo blanco y joven. Estaba herido y corría hacia ninguna parte tratando de dar la medida de su juventud antes de morir, como una protesta.

Here is how I read it:

A young, white horse. Though it was injured, it ran until no part was trying to measure its youth before death, as a protest.

Sounds to me like the writer is trying to convey that the young horse would not allow injury to hold it back. The horse seemed to scoff at the injury and try even harder to run all the faster.

hacia = towards

hasta = until

A white, young horse. He was injured and running in no particular direction trying to have his youth measure up before dying, as a protest.

I agree with DanRivera. I would read it as...

A white, young horse. It was injured, and it ran until no part was trying to measure its youth before dying, like a protest.
