Por su parte...

Por su parte...

When I saw this story, I understood everything except for "por su parte". I know the literal translation would be "for his part", but it doesn't seem to make sense in this case. ( This is a random story from the internet, I did not try to open a door with my teeth haha)

My father does the same himself, with his foot.

For his part..

Seems similar to "to his credit".
