Difference between morir and morirse

Additional help

Both mean "to die", as you know.

The reflexive [morirse] may be more informal, or when the death was not natural. It may also be used to speak of someone you had a close relationship with.

When in doubt, use "morir", not the reflexive.

Absolutely. From what I learned from those websites I posted, they both mean "to die" and either can be used to express someone's death. If that's the way you are used to saying it, continue to say it that way - SonrisaDelSol, Jun 20, 2011
