Personalmente, pienso que (going on holiday-van de vacaciones?) con familia es imporante, pero sería más divertida con amigos (aswell)

Personally i think that going on holiday with family is important but it would be more fun with friends aswell.

I am pretty sure there are a few mistakes in this sentence, especially the use of "sería" please help!

cheers.

The English gerund is typically translated as an infinitive in Spanish. Infinitives in Spanish behave like nouns. Look:

Pienso que eso es importante.

If you replace "eso", which is a noun, with a clause, you need something that behaves like a noun. In Spanish it is an infinitive ("ir"), and in English, a gerund "going".

Personalmente pienso que ir de vacaciones con la familia es importante, pero sería más divertido con (tus) amigos.

Personalmente, pienso que ir de vacaciones con familia es imporante, pero sería más divertida con amigos tambíen

I think sería would be correct in this case, but don't quote me. You may also need "la" before familia.
