How come I keep seeing, on the internet, people writing in Spanish replacing Cs and QUs with Ks? Other little replacements like that too. A cultural thing? Or maybz sum sortf lolzspeak?

One thing I can tell you is that the messages they post are not intended for Spanish learners. Thus, we can't blame them then for using any type of "code" to communicate. It is chatspeak indeed. Anyway, it's fun to read comment sections in Spanish, for one could learn how ordinary Spanish-speaking people express themselves. Just watch out for the profanities.

Yes, that a bad habit that I also use (not so much). It's not a code, just read the comments with phonetics sounds and you will understand. I've seen in english too, I could not read it until I learned about english phonetic
