Do not use subject pronouns in Spanish. (You'll be sent to the dunce corner!)

My Example:

When I was young, I built a potato gun. It was very easy – I used PVC pipe and a lighter, all that I had to do was spray hairspray, and spark the lighter. If you do this, the hairspray will explode when ignited, and the potato flies a long way….

http://dangerouslyfun.com/images/drawings/spudgun.gif (look at this picture) I didn't know that Idaho potatoes had to be used. - 0074b507, Jun 18, 2011
This was a very difficult one, Chris! - Ingeteacher, Jun 18, 2011
jejeje....Q - that is a cool schematic on how to build it, however, I assure you - any old potato will do... :) ....and when you live in the middle of nowhere, kids learn to do things like this just to have something to do....jajajaja - 001a2987, Jun 18, 2011
typo: "flies a long way" - pesta, Jun 18, 2011
I don't want to sound picky but, you need a conjunction instead of a comma after the word "lighter" in order to make a proper sentence. - Don-Linton, Jun 18, 2011
Thanks Pesta and Don- I've corrected the post... jeje - 001a2987, Jun 18, 2011
- fjfuentesh, Jun 18, 2011

When my wife is on a business trip I miss her a lot and not only because I love her so much, but also because only she knows how to operate that devil’s machine.

I exploit my house to the full. I move every week to have a different view and the children of my new neighbours visit me very often, so I'm never lonely. smile

Inge, certainly, your house would be much more attractive to young children than the others in your street but if it collapses, due to envirnomental factors eg weather or loss of power they could end up feeling rather deflated like your house lol - FELIZ77, Jun 18, 2011

It is always a good idea to read instructions before operating machinery to prevent accidents! wink smile grin

Editor's note: I appreciate that the Spanish verb ''operar'' may be more commonly used in this context to mean to operate machinery but I am wanting to use it and hoping that it would be an equally acceptable/valid option for the purposes of this sentence. If corrected I will use operar in future,

It seems to me that the resistence to the status quo is exploding throughout the world in the form of the "Arab Spring, and "The Indignant Ones, of Spain.
