"junto con pegar / junto con pegado"

Question

I am just finishing a wonderful novel, “Fronterizas,” by the Mexican writer Roberta Fernández. In it appears the following two sentences:

¿No ves que estás destruyendo todo lo que ellos estiman? Y junto con pegar, te estás riendo en su cara.”

You can guess from the context that the phrase “junto con pegar” translates as, “furthermore”, or better, “not only that.” This morning I spoke with my Mexican friend Normita and she confirmed that, and added that it would translate better as, "to make matters worse." But, she said she has never heard it as “junto con pegar”, but only as “junto con pegado.”

So, I am curious about that, although it seems minor. I would be curious to hear from Spanish speakers about this: are both phrases used, and if so where?

Puedes adivinar del contexto que la frase “junto con pegar” se traduce como, “además”, o “no solo eso”. Esta mañana hablé con me amiga mexicana Normita, y ella me lo confirmó, y añadió que sería mejor decir "para hacer cosas peor." Pero dijo también que ella no había oírla como “junto con pegar”, pero solo como “junto con pegado”.

Pues, tengo curiosidad sobre esto, aunque no parece muy importante. Tengo curiosidad de oír de algunas hispanohablantes. ¿Son usados ambas frases, y si así es, donde?

As far as I know in Mexico you will hear "junto con pegado" only. I never have heard "junto con pegar".

The meaning of the phrase is what you have told us.

Maybe the mistake was made by the editor.
