Venga? ¿Por qué?
I saw on the SpanishDict app that "Come with me" was translated into "Venga conmigo". I haven't studied the subjunctive tense yet, so maybe I am missing something...but I specifically remember learning "Come with me" as "Ven conmigo".
Please explain why this is in the subjunctive. Thanks to everyone.

Venga is the affirmative, formal command (usted).
Ven would be the affirmative informal command (tú)
The formal commands use present tense, subjunctive mood verb endings.
Venga is used in the polite command...
