indefinite articles

definite articles

The articles change depending on the gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singular, plural) of the nouns that they precede.

Un brazo (brazo is a singular, masculine noun)(un is an indefinite article)

Una mano (mano is a singular, feminine noun)(una is an indefinite article)

La pierna (pierna is a singular, feminine noun)(la is a definite article)

El pelo (pelo is a singular, masculine noun)(el is a definite article)

Thank you so much. One last thing. What if you don't know. If it shows a picture of an arm is it un brazo or una brazo? - monkeybars, Jun 12, 2011
